I know I’m not the only one unhappy of seeing cryptic usernames that go against our anonymous postings rule on iMOD, therefore for those wondering why the number of registered members has just gone down, it’s been agreed that any non-conforming username will be removed after first sending an email explaining our username policy. The interested parties are then welcome to join again but using their real name, otherwise the account will just be deleted again.
It’s simple not fair that a minority should be allowed to hide behind a username on this completely open and up-front communication portal, therefore both myself and James have decided this action is necessary. Any members with a borderline username may be getting a friendly email over the next couple of days suggesting a more suitable one (e.g. ‘Joe Bloggs’ rather than ‘blogs’ or ‘joe b’).
Kindest regards,
iMOD Moderating Team |

When is the next 'clear-out' due to happen, Nick?
Thanks. |
