Twinwoods Organ Festival Just to confirm to everyone that the Twinwoods Organ Festival is on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th October. I am expecting some very nice organs, some full size steamers and also model steamers.I hope to have again some interesting side attractions and the Saturday evening entertainment is all set. Bar and catering will be open Friday evening for those who arrive early. Monday departure is no problem. Everyone is welcome whether you have an organ or not. There will be spare organs for anyone wishing to take one on for a spell. All of the Glenn Miller Museum buildings will be open :org: :org:

Twinwoods Organ Festival Well folks, The Organ Festival at Twinwoods is looming closer and closer. Despite having 2 large Music Festivals a couple of weeks ago the ground is good. If this rain keeps on we still have acres of hard standing. There are some new appearances this year. There is plenty of room for camping and caravanning. The local caravan club are coming as visitors with a host of friends. Catering and entertainment are laid on. The Bar is fully stocked ready for the evening rush. Do Not Miss It.

Justin - can you provide more information on that rally ? As I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, I would be interested in going.

I thought the Rally In Northern California was in Sutter Creek? That is a bit far from the capitol.
Hopefully I can work out transportation to Bring My Caliola this Year.
Stephen, I would be interested in meeting you, as I think we are in the same area. PM Me with your local contact.

D Ian Pettigrew from Fife is coming as well and he has some fabulous 31 rolls which he will be playing for uso't worry about not bringing your organ to Twinwoods James. I feel sure there will be a big Gavioli waiting for someone to play it. Ian Pettigrew from Fife in Scotland is coming with his 31 roll playing Pell organ and he has some fantastic music which he will play for us  :org:

Hi Bob,
We'll certainly be there and I'm determined to have a ball.
Sorry to dis-appoint but I won't be bringing the organ as we don't have space to bring it and live in the van.
BUT, I will bring some spectactular and fairly modern music arranged just for the 31 note Raffin, Pell etc.
Look forward especially to meeting old friends and making new ones.
This is my blowout for the year, I've missed not getting to any meets for 2 years, so this is gonna be a big one.
That's a promise. (to myself)
BTW, sorry folks for not posting much unfortunately other things have cropped up and taken very much of my time. Also with not getting to organ rallies or Festivals for a couple of years I wouldn't have had much input.
Been saving hard for this, I'm really gonna enjoy myself and will be lookin' for 31 note roll players to play my music on amongst other things.
With friendly greetings,
Ian n Eileen.

Well Twinwoods is just over a week away now and I know I am going to have some superb large organs there. Some of which are appearing for the first time at this event. The Saturday night entertainment is going to be a really good evening . Again I am promised some astounding performers who are going to give us a full nights entertaiment thru til midnight and beyond. So make the necessary arrangements to stay awake  There is plenty of camping facilities. The Mueums will all be open. Steam will be represented and also some historic vehicles.. First class catering on site again. Come along and relax and enjoy the weekend, it is put on for YOU

Where exactly is Twinwoods? Do you have a list of organs visiting? Sounds a great event.

For Google Earth users, the control tower of Twinwood Airfield is 52 degrees 10 minutes 53.09 seconds North, 0 degrees 29 minutes 07.88 seconds West. Access is from Clapham, Beds, to the south-west, via Twinwood Road and the airfield perimeter taxiway.
See you there?
Regards,
John
