Hello everyone,
Lovely photos, Stephen. Looks like I missed a good event.
Is number 26 from the second link, one of those Cuban organs? I didn't know any had been exported.
The last photo looks interesting as well, with a band in front of what looks like chromatic ranks of pipes on MIDI controlled chests. What did it sound like?
Rob.

Holland weekend The Cuban organ is owned by Leon, grandson of the Perlee empire and he was turnignt the books through. The percussion group certainly made it a different sort of music to that which we are used and not all of the 'enthusiasts' liked it, but I did. There are some clips on You Tube of them in action.
The group is called 'Flairck' and are a Dutch folk group, very capable musicians . The orchestrion, built by Heesbeen and Decap, is a new addition this year for the new concert series called 'Stoomwals' or 'The Steam Waltz'. The orchestrion is midi controlled and programmed by the musicians, coming into play during the various performances. I have some video footage, taken in a rather windy market square and will send you a copy if you like.
