Arburo Orchestrion at Utrecht: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOds4QJ6mvM Homebuilt MIDI reed organ: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fc03Zt7IN_w Gbr. Bruder? Although the title says Gavioli. It does seem to have a Waldkirch sound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8rTzROAI1Y Ok, so it's a piano! Nice arrangement of William Tell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9nmxAAEc40

bisebaer- 03-30-2007

The "Gebr.Bruder" mentioned in the previous post is probably a 65er Gavioli.

Eddy Nickson- 03-30-2007

Hi there, Wow what a fantastic sounding organ! The Gebr Bruder belongs to the collection at Musée Baud http://www.museebaud.ch/index.php it has 66keys and it did feature in this months keyframe magazine. Eddy.

Not exactly YouTube, an audio slideshow of Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk's new Wurlitzer 165 being tuned: http://www.santacruzlive.com/blogs/video/2007/04/02/audio-slideshow-tuning-up-a-new-organ/ (link from today's MMD) The tune is "American Beauty" by Oreste Vessella

Not a mechanical organ in the sense we understand it, but mechanical in that it is operated by a system of levers from the keys to the pipes. I apologise for the deviation from our particular subject, but these three clips are well worth seeing - and hearing. They are all manually played. The first clip is taken from a TV program (not by me) and has some intriguing shots of the internal action in the organ: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idhHq1mn1XA The next two are of the fabulous Cavaille-Coll organ in the church of St Sulpice in Paris. The action is mechanical, with the assistance of the famous Barker Lever pneumatic action. I have had the privelege of being present at this console while being played. For these clips it is best to hook your computer up to a 5.1 sound system. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9HXocynigM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mwn7mxuQbc Regards, John

I think I posted this link before, from the same series as ^'s first link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOGPgDzEtKg Third movement from Bach's 6th trio sonata. Has some nice shots of pipework and the Zimbelstern. Poorly made carousel ride video that I almost considered not linking, but in the background you can hear Santa Cruz's new W165 playing "Barnum and Bailey's Favorite March" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RW8UdDipIrg In the spirit of LeRoy Anderson, a concerto for slot machines and orchestra: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgVOMdx5_Xc Working Lego model of the largest machine to ever move on land, the Marion 6360 stripping shovel "The Captain": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSUJyl_uFGE

The clip of the 1912 North Tonawanda Band Organ John Merchant spotted is quite interesting (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkwAf08WNYA). The uploader of the video to YouTube states it as being ’16 key’ but that’s a misprint (46 key I would assume as it’s the same scale as my No.37 barrel player NTMIW instrument but with the two percussion notes present). This one unusually plays from a continuous paper roll system (an original factory option instead of barrel), hence the set of vacuum producing bellows (‘pump’) in the top of the case which are in addition to the positive pressure bellows and reservoir in the normal place… Anyway, some more YouTube video clips… Robot Band playing ‘La Paloma’… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olmDJDdPwvY HT Street Organ… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWFrTvlfzxA Dutch Street Organ getting interrupted by street cleaner… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhgKbiuHg_o English Chamber Barrel Organ (presently for sale on eBay I believe)… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJN4gCD1F34 Organ Grinder in Bruges… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeCn7ihLwrM And finally, my favourite episode of the great British TV comedy ‘Dad’s Army’, this one featuring the 84-keyless Wellershaus from the Thursford collection (gets played around 2/3 the way through the third link)… Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz6Q3yPrSp4 Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azg49LmPE9w Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBcwS-_ZbBM See forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=113" target="_blank">http://organ.10.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=113 for a pic of Wellershaus. :org:
