Hi there Joris
Glad you like De Merel. You can hear more mp3 files of this organ at http://www.bumpkinworld.co.uk/organ_page.htm
I intend to add Biphone and Violin celeste to the counter melody section later - I am tempted to also add Flute 8, but that will be in the future.

organ video clips Hi,
I enjoyed all the clips on this page especially the pipe organ ones,I wonder if anyone knows the largest in the world?

All our organs are "pipe" organs, Nick - except perhaps the "whistles" of the calliope, or the bottles of the Pell "barrel" organ, but I believe even that has pipes inside. Which particular pipe organs are you referring to?
Regards,
John

The bottles on the Pell barrel organ actually form a xylophone. Each bottle is tuned by having a measured amount of water put inside and they are struck by hammers at the back of the bottles. The wooden pipework is mounted lower down in the barrel and is visible through an aperture cut in the wooden barrel staves.

Thanks for that Peter. So the bottles are not blown like a bottle organ at all.
Of course, I was also forgetting reed organs, which have no pipes :)

John
