Organ Coupler Dear all,
Not strictly fairground, but still a lovely instrument! I and a few friends are helping to renovate our Village Church organ, which is a really nice Jardine from around 1905. All is now done, except for a couple of large, separate ranks, which have never really worked. To do this, we need a coupler which will allow us to switch electrically between two large ranks of pipes. There is already one in situ which presumably replaced an original mechanical one, but the connections seem to be a bit unreliable and have seen better days. I wondered if anyone out there had collected anything like this on their travels, or perhaps could point us to either a source or a wiring diagram / source for a solid state version, if such a thing exists.
Best Regards,

Hello Peter,
I think your best bet would be to contact a local church organ builder/theatre organ engineer who would be familiar with this kind of mechanism.
Failing that, if you gave me more details maybe I could help.

Hi there
Try Kimber Allen on http://www.kimberallen.8m.net/
They are church organ parts suppliers, and should have what you want.
Cheers
Peter

Organ Coupler Dera both,
Thanks very much for the reply, which we much appreciate. Hopefully we'll get started on this in the next few days (being wimps, when the weather and the church gets a bit warmer!).
Best Regards
Pete Clarke.
