If it wasn't so far from down here (on the sunny south coast) we'd bring the Carillon! Can you post up a full list of the organs attending, Eddy? Thanks. :org:

Hi Eddy, Yes this years rally was plauged by certain organs not turning up unfortunatly for one reason or another, but this did not prevent the rally from being an oustanding succsess. One of the highlights must have been the dodgem set provided by David Guest, this was authentic and a pleasure to ride on all the other organs there were very good and I hope they have another rally next year

Hi Nick, Glad you liked the Dodgems. . . most people did, Kept it a cheap £2, you would of thought with it being the only thing keeping the crowds in it would of being welcomed back!? but due to the organiser being awkward this is not the case and therefor he has lost the best thing to keep the punters there! I have to be honest, i was very disapointed with Widnes this year! 2006 was the best by far! I felt really bad for Rob Harris & Shane Seagrave who i invited all the way up from the south, They drove all the way up here for ???? to be honest i felt like covering there fuel costs! The rally will suffer severely in 2008. . . David Guest will not be bringing anything to the rally therefore punters will look round the stalls, have a burger then sod off! and since the rise in fuel i cant see this whloe 'Organs come for free' deal lasting much longer. . . there was a HUGE drop in organs this year We will just have to see. . . . . . . . . . Happy new year! Eddy.

Hi Eddy, Well all I can say is that Mr Guest must be a popular person as you seem to think that no one will go in 2008 just because he wont be there, can't see that myself. As for the fact that no organ owner will go for nothing anymore they can please themselves because remember it is a showcase rally that caters for everyone outside GDSF.And as for the organiser of the event which is Halton Council in assosiation with the North West group they do a splendid job spearheaded by their chairman George Houghton who without his valuable assistance couldnt go on,I am sure that the late Stuart Marti-Bowler would turn in his grave if he knew what was going on.

Hello Eddy, Thanks for your kind suggestion of subbing our fuel costs when we came up for Widnes 2007. It wasn't necessary as we had great fun and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. If, next time we come up, you could arrange for our hotel room not to stink of stale cigarette smoke then that would be a bonus! Happy New Year to you and to all (iMod-ers). :D
