Viv Benest- 11-07-2007

Viv Benest From Elmbridge, Surrey Do I own an organ? Yes, a 31keyless McCarthy built in 1993. I’ve helped Bobby Rawlings with his Gallopers, Pride of the South, for over forty years (that’s what you get for taking a day off school!) and played the 89 key Gaudin organ…quite a lot! Bobby is also the proud owner of two Kevin Meayers Organs, a 48 key and a 32 keyless (a rumoured third organ is on the way?). I get enormous pleasure from taking these out and delighting the crowds. My Love of "Mechanical Music" began when I saw that roundabout and heard the organ back in the 1960's at Claygate Flower Show.

Heather Hancock- 01-05-2008

What's your name? Heather Hancock Where do you come from? Rugby - Warwickshire Do you own an organ & what? Yes, 20 note John Smith organ. Why do you like mechanical music? I have been attending steam rallies for many years, and worked on various showmans engines for quite a while generating electric for the organs, including Mr Lythgoes collection and John Wootens engine, which then progressed to minding some of the organs as well especially John's Bursens organ. I am priviliged to know a lot of people and have many well known good friends in the mechanical organ world, who have unknowingly vastly enhanced my love & enthusiasm of these fantastic machines.

Mike Jardin- 01-18-2008
Introduction
Hello All. I'm Mike Jardin from San Jose, California USA. I own a Wurlitzer 125 band organ. I enjoy hearing old rolls and working on the organ when it has problems. Having not much experience with mechanical organs, I find that most of my troubleshooting is of the trial and error variety. I have several other nickelodeon and reproducing piano type mechanical items in my collection and have acquired the skills to successfully keep them playing. I have been fascinated with mechanical music for my entire life and it has been my extreme pleasure to surround myself with these wonderful instruments.
