Mk 1 Bagpipe Machine at GDSF
For all iMODers attending the Great Dorset Steam Fair: When you have a spare moment on your travels around the organs, pop into the Model Tent (free this year I understand!) to say hello and listen to my Mk 1 mechanical Bagpipe machine "AngusTurragh". I plan to play a short tune each hour, on each hour. Hopefully at next year's GDSF I shall be demonstrating my Mk 2 Bagpipe machine "McLOUD" playing a real set of bagpipes, which is still in development and nearly completed. They say the bagpipes are the missing link between music and noise... :D The definition of a gentleman; someone who knows how to play the bagpipes but refuses to... :lol:

This could be an opportunity for budding arrangers to attempt to create a new repertoire for the bagpipes and make the instrument sound good. regards Adam PS - with about four available notes and er....one chord available for bass / accompaniment you'll need exceptional talent - though some pop tunes and ringtones are less melodious technically.

Hi Bob, my husband and I saw your bagpipe man at Dorset (we were exhibiting a blue foster traction engine in there). Anyway, just wanted to say, we both thought your invention was great fun, kids thought it was amusing too. well done for something different Heather
