MEMU vzw meeting at Café Beveren
After our first trip to the Museum in Utrecht on 5/10 (with a late arrival due to traffic jams), MechaMusica organised a second meeting on 11/11, this time at the well known Café Beveren in Antwerp. As planned, we met our sister association MOOS – with Peter Craig followed by a full coach – in the small but attractive Café Beveren. The Dutch were represented by Henk Hiddinga (KDV) and Maarten Van der Vlugt. The Swiss society was represented by Freddy Kunzle and Hanspeter Kyburz. Our president Johnny Claes praised Marijke Verbeeck for her devotion to attract new members, and Rachel, the owner of the café, was also presented with flowers, since she happened to be the 100th member of our society. The 92-key Decap played well into the morning and drinks were served continuously. In short: our international ‘fraternization’ was more than a success, and we hope to repeat it in the future!
