Knoebels Amusement Park - Pennsylvania, USA 28-29 June 2008
The invitation to the COAA Rally at Knoebels Amusement Park was the first one to reach me this year. Knoebles is a "different" place in a lot of respects. It is an old family park with free parking, free admission, free picnic facilities, and free entertainment. They simply offer you a lot of ways to spend your pocket money. The food is good and reasonably priced. Knobels Park owns (and maintains and plays) several vintage organs. They have both new and vintage rides of many kinds. Of course the COAA (Carousel Organ Association of America) members will be bringing an assortment of large and small organs. One feature initiated at Knoebels two years ago will be used here again, as well as at some other 2008 COAA rallies. That is an organized "concert" at which the grind-organs take turns describing and playing their machines. Large visiting organs will be positioned throughout the park.
