HELP NEEDED – Please spread the iMOD word... Hi folks,
Well, after our first month the statistics are looking good, with plenty of visitors, members, and of course posts, despite this being a busy time of the year for everyone.
However, we must maintain the initial momentum and spread the word of iMOD to organ enthusiasts worldwide so our success can continue. At present anyone reading this will have either heard about the forum from word of mouth or a mention on FOPS and the Organ Grinder email groups, so imagine the possibilities if everyone surfing the internet in our subject field gets the opportunity to read and post items on here.PUBLICITY is the key, so please help in the following ways:1. If you have a website please put a link to iMOD (http://www.fairgroundorgan.com/forum), ideally using the banner at the top of the page (if it is not displaying properly this can also be downloaded from http://www.filehigh.com/serve/1171/83841.gif, but please save this file into your appropriate website directory, and don’t link directly to it as I don’t have the server bandwidth to support this!).
2. While emailing Christmas and New Year wishes to all your friends, why not take the opportunity to tell them about iMOD. Feel free to copy and paste the suggested text below…Have you heard about the great new 'independent Mechanical Organ Discussions forum', iMOD for short? It’s totally free for anyone to view, register and post messages, and is the best way on the Internet to keep up with the la-*test*-('") news about street, fairground and dance organs worldwide, as well as gaining information on events, technical questions, and instruments for sale/wanted. Go to www.fairgroundorgan.com/forum and see for yourself!3. Next time you’re at an event with like-minded enthusiasts, remember to take the opportunity to verbally tell them about this new forum. They’re only excuse for not joining will be having no computer/internet access, but with online activities growing year on year, this will apply to a greatly decreasing number of people as time goes on.I have personally had so many good comments from people upon hearing the iMOD idea that I’m sure the path to even greater success lies in making people aware, so go for it!
If there is sufficient interest and members would like to see this forum being used as a medium for introducing people to the world of mechanical music as well, then perhaps a standardised flyer saying who and what we are about might be the way to go? That way those of us who go out with instruments or attend enthusiast meetings can download a PDF file and print a few out to pass to those simply fascinated people one often meets out and about who could just be the type to fall head over heels into our hobby. What do others think?

Lets have a look at the forum.
This section General Discussions is getting a lot of activity, I am amazed there is not more going on in the for sale/ wanted sections. This section is not just viewed by our 42 members, it is viewed by lots of people who have not registered, and just pop buy to read (oh and by the way if you are a lurker, register and get posting, we will make you most welcome!)
Get rid of your organ bits and pieces on this forum, have a spring clean!
I am amazed with the Technical Discussions side of things as well. Perhaps the problem is, that you want to know something, but you am afraid to ask, because there are people who know you on this forum. If that is the case, why not email your questions to me or Nick Williams, and we will put your question on the forum anonymously, we promise.
Looking at the Member List, there is expert advice on this forum, including music arranging, tuning and adjusting, we will be able to sort out your problems, if you’re an amateur, or a pro.
The events section, once again is viewed by many, you don’t have to be a member to see every part of this forum, so advertise your event/ where your going to be playing, and we will come and see you. Also follow it up by telling us how the event went (including your stories!)
keep in touch with each other, learn things, sell things, have fun
That is iMOD
