Thanks David for this extra information. Yes, the cassette released by Phil was volume 7 and my reference to volume 4 with my favourite music, should have been to volume 6 which was the last one released by Fay and Ken in 1983.
Re the fact that Charles Hart only imported one 72 key Gebr Decap, this possibly reflects the comparative rarity of organs of this scale built by the firm. Very roughly, perhaps around 20 of the 72 key pipe organs were built, whereas there were, perhaps, around 50 92 key pipe organs built, with perhaps another 50 or so 92 key semi-electronic organs following this. It also appears that the 72 key organs were built just in the post 1945 period, the 92s being a design dating back to the pre-war period, but with many examples dating from the late 40s and early 1950s. The 72 key organs seem, however, to have an amazing survival rate which must be -*test*-('")imony to their excellent design.

DECAP "LILI" Thanks for all the info chaps. I heard the organ twice at the Hadlow Down rally. Can anyone tell me if the percussion was eventually wired correctly and if so, did it feature in that way on any of the later cassette volumes?

Hi Derek
The percussion was definitely wired correctly by the time Lili came into Phil Ives's ownership, I have video at home to prove this! As for recordings, I am unaware of any being made with all the percussion playing correctly although as I only have one cassette of Lili, I am not totally sure about this.

DeCap Lili This is one magnificent sounding dance organ.I remember seeing Lili at The Fair Organ Festival which used to be held at Tinkers Park(Hadlow Down) on the last weekend of September and at Quexpo at Birchington in Kent. There was always an audience, some spellbound by the foot tapping repertoire, and others dancing. My only 2 cassettes are a bit worse for wear.I am sure that a good quality CD would be welcomed by many.

I do say the picture of the Gavioli in the center of the carousel looks magnificent.
