A stormy conclusion
I played a free public concert at the Wayland (MA) town beach last Sunday-- It went on about one tune too long as you can see from this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s3a30R7ZAw There was blue sky and sunshine when I put that last book on. You can hear the thunder at about the 5 minute mark. We had fun anyway, even though we ended up soaked to the skin! About 150 people showed up to hear the organ. I'll eventually get some videos posted without wind noise, people talking or the skies opening! Roger

Did the bandmaster work OK? Robert :org:

He was just mounted in position, I haven't had a chance yet to build the pneumatics to operate his movements (or the bellringers). One of many projects not quite finished! Roger

Roger, if it is any comfort we've been having rain like that in the UK this week, and apparently today a bit further south from here some pretty spectacular thunder storms, see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_pictures/7546933.stm I like the fact the video recording kept going even while the organ was being hastily covered up (neat roof), and that the 'recording engineer' found shelter with the organ. And it sounds pretty good, it just needs that proscenium (my pencil hand is itching to draw it but maybe you've already got a design). Cheers Anna

Well I guess the clouds started a little game (and maybe a bit jelous of how loud large Gavi's are).
